MEET THE FOUNDER

When I moved to a ground floor apartment in Amsterdam for the first time in 2018, heavily pregnant, I was looking for a custom entrance mat. After extensive searching and research, I found nothing that really made me happy. Two children later and months of searching for the most suitable quality, producer, illustrator, designs and colours, I launched LX MATTEN in the autumn of 2021 and I was soon able to expand my team and the company. A year after the launch, we opened our showroom at Gerard Doustraat 132 in Amsterdam!

Functional dry and clean entrance mats with a rich and luxurious look that match an interior – that was the idea I started with. And since the launch, the factory in Rotterdam has been working overtime. I could never have imagined that so many people, like me, would be looking for an entrance mat that not only functionally but also aesthetically matches the entrance. The entrance mats are so beautiful that customers want to keep them beautiful, like wallpaper or a carpet; however, the dry and clean entrance mats are precisely there to absorb dirt and moisture and then keep the floor clean.

CUSTOM MADE CARPETS
At the end of 2024, we are launching even more style and design with LX. We are expanding with luxury scraping mats in Scandinavian styles made to measure and in high-quality rugs. I have created the rugs in unique shapes that match a stylish interior and you can order them made to measure or in fixed sizes! At the beginning of this year, we moved as a family out of the city to a house in the woods. This resulted in muddy feet at the entrance and a living room and bedroom that could use a rug. I am therefore in love with the expansion of the range with our rough scraping mats and rugs (also available as a runner). We will continue to look for the piece that is still missing and hope to give many more people a smile with a touch of LX in their interior.
